The first photos of the new Mercedes-Benz E-L have surfaced today, one day before its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show. The Mercedes E-L seen in the photos was captured completely uncovered arriving at the exhibition hall. The new E-L will be a Chinese only elongated variant of the Mercedes E-Class.

The Mercedes-Benz E-L is extended 11 centimeters to allow for more space for passengers in the rear. The Chinese made Mercedes E-Class will be available as a E400 Hybrid, E200L, E260L and E300L. The addition of the hybrid E-Class is new and marks the first time Mercedes-Benz has made a hybrid car in China.

Stay tuned over the weekend as we will bring you coverage of Mercedes-Benz at Auto Shanghai.
