Mercedes-Benz is planning to launch a C-Class Sportcoupe and cabriolet as part of an expanded model range. This according to inside sources.
Going on sale in 2015 will be a C-class liftback, which insiders say will bring back the Sportcoupé nameplate. But instead the three-door Sportcoupé based on the third-generation Mercedes C-class, the new Sportcoupé will instead receive a five-door layout and the same lengthened wheelbase as the Chinese marketed C-class saloon.
Also under development but without a set production date is the C-class cabriolet, conceived around what will be the second-generation C-class coupé.
