The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan may have had its world debut back in May, but since that launch, Mercedes has been busy finishing development on additional S-Class variants. One of those variants is this, the S-Class Coupe, which we hope to see as a concept this September in Frankfurt. While we brought you spy photos a few weeks back of the upcoming model, today we have a video of the flagship Mercedes Coupe making its way around the Nürburgring.
Covered heavily in camo, it looks conservative with gentle body lines, swept back headlamps, wrap-around taillights, dual exhausts and a single bar grille in the front.
While interior photos haven’t been shown, the cabin of the coupe will be very similar to that of the S-Class Sedan, including the gorgeous wood and attractive lighting.
Under the hood of the coupe will likely be a 4.7-liter V8 that’s capable of outputting 455 HP (335 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, with other options including a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6, twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 and a V12 engine option in the S65 AMG Coupe.
