The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ (combined fuel consumption: 9.3 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 212 g/km) is in the starting blocks. It offers more output than its predecessor and is equipped with the fully variable all-wheel drive AMG Performance 4MATIC+ and the AMG RIDE CONTROL+ air suspension with the electromechanical roll stabilisation AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL. The new GLE 53 4MATIC+ can be ordered with immediate effect – with prices starting at 85,501.50 euros.
Co-responsible for higher output figures than on the predecessor are features including the electrified 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder engine. The drivetrain with twin turbocharging thanks to the exhaust gas turbocharger and electric additional compressor achieves 320 kW (435 hp) with a maximum torque of 520 Nm. Its EQ Boost starter-generator temporarily delivers an additional output of 16 kW plus 250 Nm torque and also feeds the 48-volt on-board electrical system.
In terms of looks the GLE 53 4MATIC+ impresses with exclusivity, powerful sportiness and progressive dominance. Thanks to the AMG-specific radiator grille with 15 vertical struts, it is immediately obvious that it is part of the AMG family. In the interior the performance SUV is characterised by the hallmark red flourishes. A further highlight is the optional foldable third row of seats, making the GLE 53 4MATIC+ a seven-seater.
