The new BlueDIRECT engines from Mercedes-Benz, currently seen in the recently premiered 2011 Mercedes CL-Class, set new standards in both efficiency and dynamics. Through a combination of innovative measures, including the third-generation spray-guided direct petrol injection and ECO start/stop function, the new V6 and V8 engines consume 20 to 24 percent less fuel than the previous versions. Not only do the engines use less fuel, they also have increased performance.
