The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe was recently caught by spy photograhers sporting little camofuflage. The coupe’s front end looks to match the C-Class Sedan’s front end as seen in photos that were leaked last month. Other than modified side sills, a slightly larger rear spoiler, a four-tailpipe exhaust and AMG wheels, the profile is similar to that of the standard C-Class Coupe.
What truly makes the AMG variant stand apart from its slightly larger versions is the naturally-aspirated twin-turbo 5.5 liter V8 engine taken from the S63 AMG and the CLS63 AMG. The C-Class Sedan and Estate both use the 6.3 liter (6208cc) V8 engine with 451 hp (336 kW / 457 PS) and 443 lb-ft (600Nm) of torque. The coupes AMG engine is expected to deliver 422 hp (315 kW / 428 PS) and offer multi-cylinder deactivation for increased fuel efficiency.
The standard model is scheduled to debut at the Geneva Motor Show however there is no word when the C-Class AMG Coupe will be unveiled.
Special thans to Gregor and WCF for the photos.
