Mercedes-Benz has released pricing information for the new A 45 AMG for the Euro market.
The base A45 AMG model will cost € 49,682.50, but for € 56,977.20, you can get the limited edition A45 AMG “Edition 1”. For the extra cash, you get updated interior and exterior details that include an exterior paint finish in cirrus white with matte grey racing stripes, radiator grille, side mirrors, rear aerofoil and brake calipers with red highlights. The “Edition 1” also receives upgraded matte black multi-spoke wheels with AMG hubcaps with the AMG Night Package and Aerodynamics Package coming standard.
The extra money spent on the A45 AMG “Edition 1” doesn’t just upgrade the exterior, it also adds several interior touches. Black and red dominate the interior with red contrasting stitching embellishing the AMG Performance seats. The top section of the dashboard is done in ARTICO man-made leather and the AMG Performance steering wheel is finished in nappa leather/DINAMICA microfiber. There’s also an E-SELECT lever with embossed AMG emblem and the “Edition 1″ badge on the AMG DRIVE UNIT.
Whether you’re in the market for the “Edition 1” or the base model of Mercedes’ smallest AMG model you’re going to have to wait just a little bit longer as deliveries aren’t expected to begin until August.
When they do arrive, customers will not be disappointed as both A45 AMG’s are setting new standards in the high-performance for the compact class, combining a peak output of 360 hp (265 kW) and maximum torque of 332-lb-ft (450 Nm) with low fuel consumption: roughly 34.5 miles per gallon (6.9 litres of petrol per 100 kilometers).
