In the market for a new Mercedes-Benz G-Class Cabriolet? Then unfortunately, it’s with great regret that I have to break the bad news that you’re pretty much out of luck. The cabriolet version of the Mercedes G-Wagon managed to stay in production for 34 years, but unfortunately, it’s the end of the road for the iconic model. Giving it a proper sendoff, however, Mercedes released the Final Edition 200 model G-Class, powered by a 5.5-liter V8 that offering up 388 hp and 540 Nm (398 lb ft) of torque. And in case you didn’t catch it in the name, this is the final edition of the G-Class Cabriolet with a mere 200 units offered. The problem: they’re already all sold.
As for the longer wheelbase five door option, this G-Class variant will continue its production through 2015 at minimum, and of course there’s the new G63 AMG 6×6 special edition for even more off-roading fun.
