A new round of 2010 Mercedes E-Class spy photos emerged recently that highlight the sedan being tested by none other than former F1 driver Mika Häkkinen. Sitting alongside the two-time Formula One champion is former German race driver Klaus Ludwig, with the two spotted testing the next E63 AMG just outside the Nürburgring.
Although there's still no official confirmation as to when the 2010 Mercedes E-Class will celebrate its world premier, current rumors place its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next March. Rumors also state that power in the E63 AMG is expected to increase slightly in the next variant – somewhere around the 550 horsepower mark – while the usual AMG-enhanced braking and suspension systems are two obvious areas in which the E63 will differ from its non AMG-powered E-Class brethren.
As always, we'll keep you posted as new details of the 2010 E-Class emerge. In the meantime, keep scrolling to see a few additional spy shots of the 2010 E63 AMG (click any to enlarge), then head over to GlobalMotors.net where you can find the E63 gallery in its entirety.
Enjoy.
And to Andrus: thanks once again for the tip my good sir; we are humbly in your gratitude.
