Mercedes-Benz Canda Unveils New BlueTEC Microsite

Mercedes-Benz Canada BlueTEC microsite

It's Friday ladies and gentlemen, and kicking things off this beautiful October morning comes a quick programming note from our friends at Mercedes-Benz Canada.  They sent us details of a new microsite they launched recently highlighting Mercedes' BlueTEC technology, giving those of you who've yet to familiarize yourself with the company's range of clean diesel models a clear, engaging way to do so.

The address is www.BlueTEC.ca, and while there you can learn how the BlueTEC system works, discover engine performance benefits, see available models equipped with the BlueTEC technology and read about Mercedes' ongoing commitment towards a clean-engine technology.  As all good microsites do, there's extensive use of Flash, video and rich media components, thus saving you the early morning pains of having to scroll through paragraphs and paragraphs of lengthy technical jargon (kind of like what we make you do here at eMercedesBenz).

Describing the new microsite, Mark Forsyth, Manager of Interactive Marketing and CRM at Mercedes-Benz Canada, had this to say:   "A key motivation towards building the BlueTEC site was to create an informative, yet engaging, approach towards developing greater awareness of this exceptional clean diesel technology."

So did they succeed?  Did Mercedes-Benz Canada create an informative yet engaging means to familiarize the public with Mercedes' clean diesel technology?

That, ladies and gentlemen, is up to you to decide.  To do so, head over to www.BlueTEC.ca, embark on MB Canada's interactive journey into the world of BlueTEC and discover for yourself whether or not it's time to make the switch to diesel.

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

Mercedes-Benz Canada unveils online campaign promoting world's cleanest diesel engine

Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Mercedes-Benz Canada recently launched their latest online initiative, a microsite designed to introduce the new BlueTEC clean diesel technology to the Canadian market.

Incorporating a combination of unique flash, video and rich media components, the site offers the user an array of opportunities to learn about how the BlueTEC system works, engine performance benefits, available models equipped with the BlueTEC technology, and the Mercedes-Benz commitment towards a clean-engine technology.

The BlueTEC site provides insight for the luxury car enthusiast who factors consideration for the environment as a motivating component in their purchase decision. A brief intro video provides an overview of the technology in action, while an interactive water-droplet allows the user to 'clean' various elements of the site. A wealth of information for car buyers who seek to arm themselves with critical insights for their next vehicle purchase, the BlueTEC site delivers on every level.

Mark Forsyth, Manager of Interactive Marketing and CRM at Mercedes-Benz Canada, notes:  'A key motivation towards building the BlueTEC site was to create an informative, yet engaging, approach towards developing greater awareness of this exceptional clean diesel technology.'

As the world's only car brand to receive the prestigious ISO 14062 'Design for Environment' Certificate, the Mercedes-Benz tradition for innovation in automotive design and engineering forges on with BlueTEC clean diesel.  The new BlueTEC engine is now available on select Mercedes-Benz models, including the M-Class, GL-Class, and R-Class SUVs.
