While it's true we've been a little behind in our Mercedes review coverage as of late, it's not due to forgetfulness, but rather a still-hectic behind-the-scenes schedule here at eMercedesBenz. Today, however, we finally took a moment to catch up on some of the tips from our overpopulated inbox, and as a result, it's time for yet another "Review Roundup" segment.
This episode features reviews of the Mercedes CLK63 AMG Black Series, the C180 SE, the C200 K, the C220 CDI and the updated R-Class, so if you've been contemplating the purchase of any, read on to see what reviewers thought of each.
As always, you can find links to each review along with brief descriptions of each immediately below.
Enjoy.
Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series - The Times Online reviews the illustrious CLK Black, noting that it's "one of the most rewarding ways of getting from one place to the next that’s ever been invented" before rating it four out of a possible five stars
Mercedes-Benz C180 SE - Car magazine spends some time with the four-cylinder C180 SE, granting it four (out of five) stars in the "handling," "performance," "usability" and "feelgood factor" categories and concluding that it's "well-made, well-equipped, decently spacious, unpretentious, entertaining, and comfortable"
Mercedes-Benz C200 K and C220 CDI - CarPoint.com.au provides Australians with a verbose look at both C-Class models, concluding that "if torque is everything or fuel economy counts, buy the C 220 CDI; but ultimately, we preferred the C 200K for its responsiveness and the engine's aural qualities"
Mercedes-Benz C220 CDI Estate - Autocar.co.uk gets behind the wheel of the C220 CDI wagon, praising its design and usability before concluding it's "the most convincing small Merc estate yet"
Mercedes-Benz R-Class - Auto Express provides a brief look at the updated R-Class, criticizing its price, handling and fuel economony while praising its spacious interior, distinctive styling and smooth engines
And before I go, a special thanks to our friend Shiv, who was gracious enough to send us each of these reviews. As always, we sincerely appreciate it my good sir.
