If you've been itching to get your hands on a wickedly-fast coupe, but couldn't decide between a CLS 55 AMG or a BMW M6, you're in luck.

Steel-Tipped Boots

If you're a regular reader of our site, you know that most of the stories we run take a humorous and oftentimes satirical approach to bringing you the latest Mercedes-Benz news and information.

This story does not.

While visiting the Trinidad and Tobago Express website today, I read an article that struck a chord with me.

The paper reported today about an incident in which a homeless man saved the life of Narendra Maharaj, after Maharaj's Mercedes plunged off a bridge and fell twenty feet into the waiting river below...

Mercedes-Benz S-Class Crash Test

While posting this article, I was alerted to the fact that Autoblog beat me to it by mere minutes, so before I begin, I have to give them their rightful props.

By now, I'm sure you've all heard the drama of the Mercedes S-Class failing the crash test on Germany's Star TV.  First, it was thought the S-Class simply failed the test, but then it turned out that the test was actually a hoax, a well devised scheme orchestrated to "simulate" the S-Class' advanced safety features.

Star TV has posted a video of the entire incident, allowing you to witness the test, the crash and all the drama that ensued afterwords with your very own eyes...

Mercedes-Benz CLS Wins Best Luxury Car From Top Gear

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that's right - Mercedes has once again showed their supreme dominance in the world of automakers by obliterating their poor, feeble, helpless competitors.

Was that dramatic or what?  After writing all these Mercedes awards stories, I wanted to add a little spice to this one.

Ok - this time, I'll try it for real.

Mercedes has chalked up two more automotive awards from the BBC television show/magazine Top Gear, one for the sexy yet practical CLS four-door coupe, and one for the well-established, always-dominant S-Class...

New: Mercedes-Benz „CapaCity“ concept for a high-capacity urban regular-service bus: The new Mercedes-Benz „CapaCity“ low-floor high-capacity regular-service bus

For the first time at MOT 2005, Mercedes has released details of a prototype they're calling the "CapaCity," a 19.54 meter urban bus capable of carrying up to 193 passengers.

To give you an idea of how big that is, the Mercedes Citaro G, currently the largest bus in the Mercedes lineup, measures a mere 18 meters, and can hold up to 150 passengers.

Despite the increased length, the CapaCity is able to negotiate traffic as well as the Citaro G.  Thanks to four axles (two of which are turning), as well as a single articulation joint, the CapaCity has a turning radius of 22.85m, the same as the Citaro G.  The two buses also have identical swing-out values and cornering-track widths...
